In practical applications such as action cameras, security cameras, or automotive cameras, there are often high contrast lighting conditions and motion scenes to capture. Therefore, the image quality of the camera in wide dynamic range scenarios is of great concern. Engineers typically need to collect high dynamic range (HDR) static or moving scenes outdoors to evaluate whether the camera produces motion artifacts, and assess the clarity and detail preservation.
To meet these high dynamic scene testing requirements, ColorSpace has independently developed an HDR multifunctional scene simulate dual light booths. This light booth is used to test the motion imaging performance of cameras in HDR environments, to evaluate the camera's recognition capabilities in HDR scenes and it supports a wide dynamic range simulation (0 ~ 120dB).The HDR multifunctional scene simulate dual light booths includes light source control system, motion system, and ambient light feedback system. And it can be used for testing various imaging effects such as color, portrait HDR, motion blur, clarity, and detail texture. It can also conduct P2020 CDP testing. Additionally, it can be configured with flicker light sources, moving tracks, and other features for high dynamic range comparison evaluations.
The HDR multifunctional scene simulate dual light booths system consists of two parts: a high light intensity system and a low light intensity system, separated by an 18% gray light-blocking panel. Each side has an individually controllable lighting system that supports testing with both linear and rotational motion test charts. The light booths are equipped with illuminance and color temperature sensors, enabling closed-loop automatic adjustment of the color temperature and illuminance on both sides. This system can test the wide dynamic range performance of cameras, compare effects under different color temperatures and illuminance levels, and observe the adaptive color and contrast adjustments of smartphone or tablet screens in response to changes in external color temperature and illuminance. Additionally, it supports the integration of various other testing projects.
