With the rapid development of autonomous driving, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and intelligent perception technologies, automotive cameras are required to maintain stable imaging performance under challenging conditions such as backlight, tunnel entrances and exits, nighttime environments, high-reflectance scenes, and complex weather conditions.
At the same time, HDR (High Dynamic Range) technologies are increasingly being adopted across image capture, processing, and display workflows, placing higher demands on imaging systems operating in high dynamic range environments.
Real-world road testing is often affected by weather, time of day, and testing locations, making it difficult to ensure repeatability and consistency. As a result, establishing repeatable and quantifiable laboratory lighting conditions has become an important part of image quality evaluation, algorithm validation, and imaging system development.
The CS-HDR-MSB HDR Multi-Scene Simulation System combines high-brightness LED illumination with interchangeable scene backdrops to simulate a variety of typical road and environmental scenarios within a 2 m × 3 m illuminated area. It provides a stable and controllable testing environment for automotive cameras, surround-view systems, and autonomous driving perception devices.
The system supports a wide illuminance and color temperature adjustment range, enabling simulation from low-light conditions to bright daylight environments. It can be used for HDR evaluation, LED Flicker Mitigation (LFM) testing, dynamic range assessment, color reproduction analysis, and image quality evaluation.
