Spatial resolution capability is an important attribute of a digital camera, and Spatial Frequency Response (SFR) is a multi-valued metric used to measure contrast loss as a function of spatial frequency. The spatial frequency response (e-SFR) of the camera's edges based on the iso 12233-2023 test chart is measured by analysing the number of cameras attached to a tilted, low-contrast neutral edge using a measurement card with a four-period "slanting star" test pattern. The "slant star" test mode measures e-SFR in vertical, horizontal and diagonal directions and the data is analysed using imatest software.
