Quality Standards

The first addition of CPIQ (Camera Phone Image Quality) standard issued by IEEE organization. Seven kinds of areas are defined for objective quality analysis. By introducing the subjective observation conditions of the human eye to the image of the objective parameters, this standard provides a set of metrics that strongly correlate with perceived image quality.

Testing Challenges

In the testing of mobile camera, usually when evaluating the image quality, a test condition is to shoot at a relatively close macro distance, which requires a high-precision test charts. Another test condition is to test the cameras at long distance or range within the limited space of a factory environment.

Image Stabilization is a feature that is available on high-end mobile devices which can improve the sharpness and low light performance associated with the motion of the photographer camera.
