Imatest Version 25.1 Beta

1 | Simatest Camera & ISP Simulator

Simatest enables the simulation of camera systems including image sensor noise & signal processing. This enables convenient exploration of how ISP parameters impact Image quality metrics.

2 | Interface Improvements

◈ Open With Imatest: Open files directly from Windows Explorer and MacOS Finder into Imatest Master.

◈ New direct links to the Imatest Store for most analysis targets to easily view Imatest’s chart offerings.

◈ Improved Console Panel layout with docking and full-screen options.

◈ New UI Settings page to easily manage user interface preferences.

◈ Imatest Master now respects operating system-preferred applications when opening files and images.

◈ Improved Image Preview with the ability to navigate to another image using the left and right navigation buttons without leaving image preview.

3 | Preliminary Documentation of Outputs

◈ New web page and Excel sheets documenting JSON outputs for distortion and sharpness measurements.

◈ Concentric Rings module results.

◈ Stray Light module results.

4 | Settings Improvements

◈ The Settings page has been reorganized with easier access to Imatest Master analysis settings, a new “Save + Re-Analyze” button, performance improvements, and a better search experience.

◈ IT and Pass Fail Settings can now be edited using the new Settings Window.

5 | Concentric Rings FOV

◈ Measure optical distortion: New Plot and output for Optical Distortion %

◈ Regmark detection default is now ML/CV

◈ Ability to extract select metadata from a filename via regular expression.

7 | Batchview

◈ Allow multiple parameters plots to be combined into single plots.

◈ Addition of information metrics C_4, C_max, SNRi for 2×8 pixel object, edge location standard deviation (sigma).

◈ Option to plot vertical axis logarithmically.

◈ Improved automatic scaling, global & local scaling, manual scaling.

◈ Plot from zero-max or min-max.

8 | Minor Features

◈ Checkerboard: Ability to limit Distortion measurements to the image circle.

◈ Color/Tone: eSFR ISO Color now has automatic detection and ROI placement.

◈ Color/Tone: Rezchecker default reference file has been updated from glossy to matte. The previous default reference file can be downloaded for Matte and Glossy targets.

◈ Sharpness Modules: Now include option to include edge spread function (ESF) and line spread function (LSF) data in JSON results.

◈ Sharpness Modules: Interpolated SFR data has been added to Multi-region CSV summary file results.

◈ Rescharts/colortone/flatfield modules: have Updated default save files from “CSV summary file” to “Multi-region CSV summary file” and “JSON Summary file”.
