Introduction of Automotive industry Camera Test Solutions

With the increasing number of automobile camera system applications such as Camera Monitor Systems, Advanced Driver Assist Systems and Mirror Replacements, the automotive industry has to test and meet a wide variety of image quality standards. Factors to test include dynamic range, long range focus, contrast resolution, flicker, flare, and sharpness. We can provide the necessary solutions, including charts, equipment, and software to test these factors. We also understand that not everyone’s testing needs are the same. Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS)

ADAS systems typically contain forward facing camera systems that rapidly analyze oncoming and nearby objects. The lenses on these cameras focus at along-rangeto maximize the sensitivity of the system. Unfortunately, this complicates the testing process generally because of the limitations in lab size. Specialized equipment is therefore required to test the image quality at the needed distances. Key image quality factors to be tested include:

  • 2. Contrast resolution
  • 3. Flare (ISO 18844)
  • 4. Sharpness
  • 5. Noise

Rearview and Surround-View Camera Systems

The Rear View and the Surround-Viewof the carcamera typically have significant fish-eye distortion. Some cameras have a greater field of view (FOV) and angel. A panoramic camera system based on the technology which includes a plurality of cameras of front view, side view and rear view. This requires the application of a distortion correction algorithm, and the combination of multiple images, in order to naturally display the image of the surrounding of the vehicle. The pre-distortion SFR-plus test chart is suitable for distortion and sharpness testing of wide-angle lenses. For ultra-wide-angle cameras, dedicated SFR-reg test charts and ultra-wide-angle sharpness analysis camera devices can also be analyze for analytical testing.

LE001 Reflective Lighting Source

It is use for reflective test charts and commonly used to test the multiple factors like distortion, auto white balance, resolution and other parameters too.

Imatest Testing Software

It is used to analyze a series of image quality parameters, and supports a variety of test charts and international test standards.

ADAS Camera Test System

Variable focal length parallel light tube principle MTF test stand that automatically changes the position of the field of view, allowing the customer to customize the test position.

Pre-Distortion Test Chart

The Pre-Distortion SFRplus test chart is used for wide-angle lens, testing of FOVs up to 150 degree. Also, we can analyze some other parameters such as resolution, distortion, lateral chromatic aberration, etc.
Modular Test Chart Mounting Systems

100,000 Lux Standard Light Source

This source has an illumination of more than 100,000 lux and is used to test wide dynamic range testing of greater light applications with the use of 120dB or 150dB dynamic range test chart.
36-Patch Dynamic Range Test Charts

These targets have 36 low-noise density patches and density ranges exceeding 50dB, 100dB and 150dB. The three options fulfill needs for Low, Wide, and Ultra-High Dynamic Range systems.
Shpherical Light Source

Spherical light sources can be used to test the brightness and uniformity of super wide-angle cameras and panoramic cameras. The maximum FOV is over 270~300 degrees and it can be customize as well.
Backlit ISO 18844 Flare Test Chart

The test chart is used to test the flare in imaging system according to the ISO 18844 standard.
Low-light Ultra-Wide-Angle Test Equipment

The internal environment can simulate Lux illumination. SFRreg test chart and color chart can be configured to effectively analyze the sharpness and color accuracy of wide-angle camera.
Camera Monitor Test Chart

According to the ISO 16505 standard, CMS clarity, color accuracy, distortion, and noise can be accurately test through this chart.
Camera Automation Test System

Fully automatic camera functional testing, stress testing, API testing, shooting performance testing, image quality testing, and so on.

Arbitrary Test Chart

Imatest 5.0, Customize your own chart layout to combine all the image quality factors for analysis on one chart. It significantly reduce the number of images which needed to complete the testing process.
120° Collimator Lens

It also known as close-up lens. With the use of collimator or optics can change the distance with respect to the object.
SFRreg Resolution Test Chart

This main application of this test chart is to analyze long-distance testing, wide-angle testing and AF testing.
