Details:
The OL490 is a new generation of split-light source solutions with digital light source processing that can easily synthesize complex spectral features that enable simulation of custom filtered source, LEDs, luminaires, day light, night light, and room light. Nearly any spectral shape, natural or synthetic, can be created. For highly precise spectra, adding the optional real-time spectrometer feedback can increase the spectral matching to the target spectra even more. It also offer to produces high-precision, arbitrary-spectrum light sources with adjustable intensity and exposure time. Its powerful features can be applied to multiple industries, including product testing in color applications, such as colorimetric evaluation of optical components under different spectral conditions, color matching/surface testing, and many more.
Product Testing and Sensor Spectral Response Correction
Ordinary monochromators are coupled from incandescent sources and offer only limited applications; programmable LED sources that provide only a limited spectral range and use static spectrum to filter the contours of the inner shape. In contrast, the OL490 has unparalleled diversity, precision, stability and reliability.
Forensics and biological imaging
OL490 has a good application in medical diagnosis. For applications such as fluorescence imaging, microscopic imaging and endoscopy, the spectral output can simulate different illumination conditions and can be used to analyze the response of biological systems to the spectrum.
Spectral synthesis
The OL490 split-light source makes it easy to synthesize complex spectral characteristics for simulating specific light sources, LEDs, illuminators, daylight, evening, indoor light, and more. Its spectral accuracy is extremely high, and better spectral matching can be achieved if a real-time spectrometer is used.
SOFTWARE
The OL 490’s control software is both powerful and easy to use. Operators can easily set multiple bands, sweeps, and trigger modes. The OL 490’s software allows direct control of the DLP mirror array to produce almost any desired spectrum. The software control has three (3) primary modes of operation that will render the desired spectral shape: Render Sliders, Render List, and Render Sequence. An SDK is also included to allow for fully customized control.
Render Sliders
Real time manual rendering is easy with the slider controls, which instantly change the wavelength, bandwidth, or intensity by dragging the slider left and right, or entering a value in the text box. The spectral output is updated in real time, useful for manipulation of a single peak. This easily simulates bandpass filters, LED's, and monochromators.
Render List
For combining multiple peaks, the Render List mode allows the slider controls to send each desired peak to a list that can be selected for composite rendering. The parameters of each individual peak can be edited and updated into the list.
Render Sequence
Spectral patterns may be sent from the list to a sequence inserted at any desired order in time. The sequence can be executed at a user selectable rate. Start, stop, and pause controls control the sequence output timing. The loop can be set for a specific number of cycles then stopped, or set for continuous operation. Hardware triggers also allow precise control for use with other equipment, such as cameras and microscopes.
